In this astrophotography tutorial I’m going to show you how to setup plate-solving in Sequence Generator Pro (SGP). I will also show you how easy it is to setup an automatic meridian flip. You will want to make sure you are running the ASCOM platform software on your computer as well as the ASCOM software driver for your telescope mount – I don’t know if the “On Camera” ST4 telephone line in PHD2 will work with plate-solving. The plate-solve and auto-meridian flips are great tools to employ as you advance in astrophotography.
